Duncan John Cunningham JP (Qual)
Duncan was born in Mount Isa. He and wife Anne
have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
He was
apprenticed as butcher to Speed Smythe in 1965
and manager when he left in 1974. He worked
underground at MIM as operating, leading hand,
supervisor, foreman, training coordinator and
safety advisor. In 1998 he moved to Kalkadoon
Mining and was manager for 2 years.
In 2000 Duncan and Anne purchased a butcher
shop in East Street, Turanga, followed by another
butcher shop in Camooweal Street where they are
doing fine.
Duncan is a committee member of the
local Justice Association and secretary of the
Masonic Fraternity and the Pistol Club. |
